Your WVEA

The West Virginia Education Association is dedicated to creating great public schools and educating tomorrow's leaders. WVEA is a proud group of nearly 15,000 elementary and secondary teachers, higher education faculty and staff, educational support professionals, retired educators and college students preparing to become teachers.

WVEA works tirelessly to advance the needs and rights of our members. From salary, pensions, health care costs and school funding, WVEA stays on top of the issues that impact educators, so our members can concentrate on their important roles in West Virginia classrooms and schools.

WVEA also provides professional development opportunities and training to enhance our members' skills. Plus, we provide legal aid to resolve conflicts amicably and professionally.
